RV Lifestyles
If you are planning for retirement, thinking about driving long distances while enjoying the view as you drive across the country, you are in need of the proper lifestyle change. And the most ideal lifestyle would be that of an RV Lifestyle. This lifestyle would include taking your family to a camping ground or RV park on a regular basis, all around the great U.S. There is no better way that going about this in a Recreational Vehicle (RV) of your choice, based on your family need. The first thing you must find out is what kind of RV would you like to buy, or rent, if your not ready to make that purchase? If you just don't know which one to buy, consider renting a few different brands, and compare your experiences. This will help you make he right and comfortable lifestyle change.
So what are the different RV Lifestyles? They can fit into categories such as: RV Camper, also known as a weekender; Vacationer; Snowbird; and Fulltimer. Let's go over these!
The RV Camper or Weekender is used for short trip ranging from a couple of days to a week. RV Camping is a few notches above tent camping with advantages such as keeping all camping gear in the RV, more interior room, cooking facilities, and a sturdier structure.
Vacationers take the RV for longer trips, but return home within a few weeks. I like to limit this category to those who spend no more than a month in the RV.
Snowbirds like the moderate summers of northern latitudes and warmer winters of the south. To live in both climates they take the RV for an entire season and return home when the north thaws. During the summer months the RV generally sits unused until the chill returns once more.
Fulltimers call the RV their only home. They have no fixed-foundation home to return to and therefore need all the necessities of life contained in the RV. It is debatable how long one must commit to live in a recreational vehicle to be considered a fulltimer. I propose that a minimum of one year is a good starting point.
Hopefully this overview will help you decide what kind of RV would you like to own. Consider what's best for you, and then decide how it can fit into your life, or change your life!
